11.19.2007...Just getting back to the shop from The The 2007 New Wave International Open Billiards Tournament at New Wave Billiards in South Miami, Florida!!!  Well, this was a first for me, even after all the years traveling and tournaments I have worked and attended...never been to a billiard tournament before!  Players came from all over the world to participate in this prestigious event!!!

It was a real pleasure to see some of the finest billiard players on the world compete.  By the time I arrived on Saturday morning, there were only twelve players left in the event, and boy oh boy could they play.  It seemed to me like every shot was a TV shot.  The cameras would have no doubt captured some of the greatest shots ever had they been rolling.

Room owner Hernando Pineras and his family made every effort to make everyone as comfortable as possible, and this was another great event.  I will be sure to attend every event possible at New Wave in the future!
